Opportunity

The goal of this program is to exploit the synergy between orthopedic and neurosurgery applications to develop fast, automatic and accurate means of registering images to bone during surgery, and making optimal use of calibrated x-ray fluoroscopy and ultrasound images. This work will build on image registration and visualization technology developed for neurosurgery applications (drawing heavily upon the modular software developments developed by the RRI image-guided surgery group).
